Potash-rich bracken forms the base for all our composts. Our Wool Compost range also includes British wool and nutrient-rich comfrey (the organic gardener’s best friend!) to provide natural water retention, slow-release nitrogen and long-lasting feed.
All our premium composts are completely peat-free, not made from green waste, and approved for organic growing by the Soil Association.

Our traditional soil improver and specialist bulb compost are made using potash-rich bracken harvested from the Lake District fells. Always 100% natural, peat-free and approved for organic growing by the Soil Association.
Lakeland Gold
Our proven peat-free “Clay-buster” and “Gold-standard” Spring/Autumn mulch for heavy and clay soils. Lakeland Gold is a nutrient-rich, vegan-friendly soil conditioner that helps break up clay, improve soil structure and aeration, balance pH, reduce erosion, aid water retention and provide natural slow-release feed for a full year.
