Gooseberries from Trial
Caption: Trial plot 3 grown using Dalefoot Wool Compost Double Strength

We attended the wonderful Tatton Show last week and managed, in the main, to keep dry. The show provides a great opportunity to meet face to face and explain the ethos of Dalefoot and get people elbow deep in compost - feeling, sniffing - but not quite tasting - the compost.

Hilary Dodson of Northern Fruit Growers showed the results of a growing trial using Dalefoot compost and three other growing mediums in 4 plots. The fruit yielded from each plot was put in baskets and the results were clear. Dalefoot Double Strength Wool Compost used in planting and top dressing fruit bushes beat everything else hands down.

Hyde Lilies received another Gold Medal with their beautiful flowers and Mickfield Hostas got a Silver Gilt Medal for their plants grown in Dalefoot Wool Compost. We also talked to a lot of other nurseries who are interested in using our peat free compost.
